Terms of Use and Privacy Policy — AtlasTrip
Last updated: October 31, 2026
This document contains the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy of the AtlasTrip app, developed and maintained by AtlasTech. By creating an account and agreeing to these terms, you accept what is written below.
If you do not agree with any part of it, please do not create an account. You can send any question to contato@atlastech.com.br before accepting.
Part I — Terms of Use
1. Who we are
AtlasTech, a Brazilian company responsible for developing and maintaining AtlasTrip.
Email: contato@atlastech.com.br — Phone/WhatsApp: +55 21 9 7520-4549.
2. What AtlasTrip does
AtlasTrip is an app for discovering tourist attractions and travel itineraries. You can browse attractions, see photos and information, save favourites, follow itineraries and locate places on the map.
The app is offered free of charge. We do not sell tickets, do not process payments and do not act as an intermediary for bookings.
3. Your account
- You sign in with your phone number, confirmed by a code sent via SMS.
- Each number corresponds to one account. You are responsible for keeping your phone and SIM card secure: anyone with access to your SMS messages can sign in to your account.
- You must have legal capacity to accept these terms. The app is not intended for children under 13.
- SMS delivery depends on your mobile carrier and may incur charges from them. AtlasTech charges nothing for it.
4. How you must use the app
You agree not to:
- use the app for any unlawful purpose or in a way that harms other people;
- attempt to access areas, data or accounts that are not yours;
- submit offensive, false or misleading content, or content that infringes third-party rights, including copyright;
- extract the app's content in bulk, by automated means, in order to republish or resell it;
- interfere with the service or attempt to circumvent security measures.
We may suspend or terminate access for anyone who breaches these rules.
5. App content
The texts, trademark, code and design of AtlasTrip belong to AtlasTech and may not be copied without authorisation.
Some photos of tourist attractions come from freely licensed collections, such as Wikimedia Commons, and are displayed with the author's credit and licence as each licence requires. Other images are supplied by the venues themselves or by AtlasTech.
If you find an image published improperly, write to contato@atlastech.com.br naming the attraction and the image: we will review it and take it down where appropriate.
6. Content you submit
If you upload a profile picture or create an itinerary, you remain the owner of that content. You only authorise us to store and display it inside the app, as needed for the service to work. You confirm that you have the right to use what you submitted.
7. Information about attractions
We gather information such as address, opening hours, price and description with all due care, but it may change without notice and is not under our control.
AtlasTech does not own, operate or answer for the attractions, hotels, restaurants or venues shown. Please confirm opening hours, prices and access conditions directly with the venue before travelling.
8. Limitation of liability
The app is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, AtlasTech is not liable for:
- loss arising from outdated or incorrect information about an attraction;
- temporary unavailability of the service, connection failures or third-party service failures;
- harm suffered while travelling to or visiting any place shown in the app;
- travel decisions made on the basis of the app's content.
Nothing in these terms removes the rights granted to you by the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code or by the consumer law applicable where you live.
9. Closing your account
You can delete your account at any time from the app itself, under the Profile tab. Deletion removes your account data as described in Part II. You may also request deletion by email.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update this document, for instance when we release a new feature. The date of the last update appears at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced in the app.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by Brazilian law, and the courts of the consumer's domicile are competent to settle any dispute arising from them.
Part II — Privacy Policy
This part explains how AtlasTech handles the personal data of AtlasTrip users, in accordance with the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (Law No. 13.709/2018 — LGPD).
12. Who the controller is
AtlasTech, using the contact details given in section 1.
Data Protection Officer: contato@atlastech.com.br.
13. What data we collect
- Phone number — required to create your account and sign in. It is what identifies you in the app.
- Name — provided by you at sign-up, used to personalise your experience.
- Profile picture — only if you choose to upload one, from the camera or your photo library. The app accesses the camera or your photos only after you allow it, and only at the moment you pick the image.
- Favourites and itineraries — the attractions you save and the itineraries you follow or create.
- Location — only if you allow it, and used to show the attractions nearest to you and place them on the map. You can decline or revoke this permission in your iPhone Settings and keep using the app normally.
- Crash reports — when the app fails, we send a technical report (device model, system version, app version and the point in the code where the error occurred) so we can fix the problem.
We do not collect payment data, do not ask for identity documents and do not use the app for targeted advertising.
14. Why we use the data, and on what legal basis
- Creating and maintaining your account and letting you sign in — performance of the contract (LGPD art. 7, V).
- Storing your favourites and itineraries, so they are there when you come back — performance of the contract.
- Showing nearby attractions on the map — consent, given through the system's location permission.
- Displaying your profile picture — consent, given when you pick the image.
- Fixing failures and improving stability — legitimate interest (LGPD art. 7, IX).
- Complying with legal obligations and defending our rights, where necessary.
15. Who we share it with
We do not sell your data and do not pass it on for advertising. It is processed by the services that make the app work:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Storage, Crashlytics, Remote Config) — SMS authentication, your account database, profile picture storage and crash reports.
- Google Maps — displaying maps and attractions.
These services are operated by Google and may store data outside Brazil, including in the United States. Such transfers rely on the safeguards set out in the LGPD and on the provider's own contractual commitments.
16. How long we keep it
We keep your account data for as long as the account exists. If you delete the account, we erase the name, profile picture, favourites and itineraries associated with it. Data we are legally required to retain, or that is needed to defend a legal claim, may be kept for the corresponding statutory period. Crash reports carry no account content and are discarded according to the service's own retention periods.
17. Your rights
At any time you may request: confirmation that we process your data; access to it; correction; anonymisation, blocking or erasure; portability; information about who we share it with; and withdrawal of consent. Just write to contato@atlastech.com.br. We will respond within the periods set by the LGPD.
Account deletion is also available directly in the app, under the Profile tab, with no need to contact us.
You may also lodge a complaint with the Brazilian National Data Protection Authority (ANPD).
18. Children
AtlasTrip is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from that age group. If it happens, write to us and we will delete the record.
19. Security
Communication between the app and our servers is encrypted. Account access depends on a code sent by SMS to your number, and we rely on the protections offered by Google Firebase's infrastructure. No system is entirely immune to incidents: should one occur that may pose a relevant risk to you, we will notify you and the ANPD as required by the LGPD.
20. Changes to this policy
We may update this text. The date of the last update appears at the top of this page.
